Official 2009 Big Hammer Challenge-Reports,Pics-Leaderboard

We're having to jump through hoops of fire to host this tournament on our website as well as a few others . The 2009 Secret Item required to have in every picture taken with a shark is the following. A tape measure spray painted neon green at every foot mark must be used to measure each shark in the Big Hammer Challenge.The neon green paint is readily available at Home Depot paint department ,,,it's the kind used in construction work. Each team fishing the tournament will be recieving a 2009 Big Hammer flag with our sponsors names on it and we ask you to please display the flag in every picture taken with a shark as a way of promoting our Proud Sponsors. A tape measure spray painted in neon green at every foot markermust be held against the shark so we can see the number of green marks between the head and the tail. OUR PROUD SPONSORS BRIDGE AND PIER FISHERMAN For the bridge and pier fisherman if you want your shark to count for the totals prize without having to beach it take a close as possible picture of your shark and place the measuring tape with the green paint in the picture.If you want your shark to count for the biggest you must beach the shark and place the measuring tape up against it's total length so we can all clearly see it's OVERALL LENGTH. WARNING Anybody who tries to submit a picture where the tape measure is not clearly visible or where the tape is behind the shark's snout,or tries to submit a devious picture will have that shark disqualified. im not sure on the weight of that one..the big one i caught last year taped out to be close to 400lbs and this one was a couple inchs bigger so i think it would be close to that..

Team Locked Drag, This weekend was tough as we ran out of bait due to the Nurse Curse. Cudas were difficult to catch since the tide were never play to our favor. Jacks must have been on vacation. At least we were all to enjoy the beautiful full moon this weekend.

Bolo had a massive hit on a Permit carcass. Had the drag too tight and the braid buried itself into the spool. 100lb Jerry Brown braid snapped and it was so loud we thought the rod broke.
